Eric Norman learned to fly fish in the mid 90's while an undergraduate student at Penn State. Growing up in Central PA allowed Eric to explore the renowned streams of the region including Spring Creek, Penn's Creek, and the Little Juniata River.
Within a few years Eric's passion to travel to fish was stoked when he fished throughout Yellowstone National Park with their volunteer fly fishing program. Two trips as a volunteer fly fisherman left him wondering what else the West had to offer. Since that initial trip Eric has fished throughout Colorado and Wyoming, often opting for the smaller, lesser known tributaries and the smaller crowds. The Jackson Hole, Wyoming area is a favorite destination. Trips to Western North Carolina and Tennessee's South Holsten River have also helped feed the travel bug.
Eric began guiding while working in a local fly fishing shop from 2006-2012, before guiding on his own. In addition to fly fishing Central Pennsylvania, Eric also guided for whitetail deer in Ohio for 7 seasons with Triple "B" Outfitters of Ohio.
Recently Eric has enjoyed success within the local fly fishing tournaments. In 2015 his team finsihed third in the Wildlife for Warriors Spruce Creek Classic. 2016 had two first place team finishs at the CCYSB On the Fly and Wildlife for Warriors Spruce Creek Classic, respectively. 2017 had a second place team finish at the CCYSB On the Fly with a third place individual performance as well. In 2019 his team again placed first in the CCYSB On the Fly.
